The room was fine. A little small, but good view, really comfortable bed, decent shower, and the price was very good. No nonsense, good value.
When I checked in there was only a touch-screen machine to do it. That's fine, but this one had a lot of steps and was definitely slower than human check in would have been. Weirdly, when I went out later, there was suddenly a reception desk and receptionist that weren't there before! And when I got back, they were gone again. The hotel is undergoing refurbishment, which means common areas are a literal building site. But there was no noise at the weekend, so no complaint.

Self-checkin is really convenient.
The room was clean, comfortable, quiet (traffic noise outside but that wasn’t a problem).
The bed is really, really comfortable - I got a great night’s sleep.
The hotel is being renovated and there is some renovation noise at certain times but the hotel told me about it in advance and over the weekend (Saturday night/Sunday) it’s quiet. It wasn’t a problem for me.
The staff are friendly, polite and helpful.
That I couldn’t stay longer this time - I wish I could have stayed there longer.

The room had recently been refurbished and was still in perfect condition. Staff were very helpful and spoke perfect English.
The lift was still undergoing refurbishment so had to carry our belongings up 2 flights of stairs. Likely to be resolved fairly soon.
