About this house rental

Our chalet is located on 1000 m² of forest in Barvaux sur Ourthe, 6 km from the beautiful Durbuy, a few kilometers from the very beautiful Weris, the village with the dolmens and menhirs.

This completely renovated chalet sleeps 6 people and is equipped with all modern comforts.

layout:
Upon entry into a spacious residence with dining area and leather lounge, equipped with TV via TV-Vlaanderen and DVD Blue Ray player.

There is a new kitchen with gas hob, electric oven, fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher (use powder to wash, no tablets for dishwasher for 8 people). Following electrical appliances are included: coffee, coffee-maker, electric kettle, toaster, croque-monsieur toaster, fryer and blender.

Furthermore, there is a separate toilet and bathroom with shower and sink, hairdryer.

There are 2 bedrooms each with a double bed, mattress size 140x200cm, 200x200cm duvet and a bedroom with bunk bed, mattress size 90x200cm, 140x200cm duvet. Each room has a wardrobe available.

The chalet has a front terrace and a spacious terrace with teak furniture and barbecue at the back. Pets are not allowed. Heating and hot water with gas.

You rent directly from the owner, not through a rental agency.

The chalet was clean and well equipped. The shower was fabulous. The beds were comfortable. There was plenty of space. Our only problem was the tv didn't work, we don't know why, something about the signal being down. The owner could not figure out the problem over the phone. I'm guessing it was a temporary problem and just bad timing for our stay. It was nice to sit on the back deck for meals.

We had a great stay at this lovely chalet which is surrounded by trees and very private, yet only a short drive from Barveaux and Durbuy. The chalet was clean, in excellent condition and offered everything we needed. We enjoyed sitting out on the veranda while our toddler could happily play around the trees in front of the chalet. The owner is very friendly and was always quick to respond to queries prior to and after our stay. Instructions upon arrival were very clear as well. We would highly recommend this chalet to couples and families who like to stay somewhere more secluded and in a woodland area, with interesting places within a short driving distance.
