Key was waiting for us on arrival. The location is ideal. Close to Elgin if you’d like to go into town but also has the required peace and tranquility away from the town. Met Sheila on the 2nd day. Very nice host and very helpful. Cabin was very welcoming, warm and relaxing. Kestrel cabin is dog friendly. Has a perimeter fence so our dog could wander and do his business freely. External bin provided for dog poops. Nice wee walk around the farm and met Hamish the donkey. Hot tub was great fun. Shower very good as well which isn’t always a given in a remote cabin. Overall enjoyed our stay in the Kestrel Cabin very much.
There isn’t any WiFi in the cabin. Wasn’t a problem for us as 4G was pretty decent if we really needed. Could be an issue for some who require WiFi as a must have.
