Villa Kokkinos is located in a living area called "Sfakaki", only 5 km away from "Platanias" area and 9 km from Rethymno city. The long sandy beach of Rethymno lies only 1 km away from the villa! Thanks to its great location, the villa is an excellent starting point for day excursions. Villa Kokkinos is a 200 m2 villa that consists of two buildings next to each other offering 4 bedrooms, 2 kitchens, 2 living room areas in total. The villa can accommodate up to 8 guests in beds and up to 10 if necessary. Additionally, the villa offers exquisite sea and sunset views and is a perfect destination for quiet and relaxing vacations.
Interior Layout of the Main building :
On the ground floor you will find the living room which provides a complete entertainment area, as the TV corner has a DVD player, a satellite TV, Wi-Fi internet access and a fireplace which makes the house an appealing winter destination as well. On the same floor, there is the dining area with a big table which is comfortable for all guests, one W/C and an open plan fully equipped kitchen with all the essentials, such as electric oven, microwave, fridge and freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine and toaster.
An indoor marble staircase leads you to the first floor, where you can find 3 bedrooms, two with King-size beds (1,60 x 2,00) and one with a double bed (1,40 x 2,00), and 2 bathrooms, one with a bathtub and shower and the other one with a shower.
Interior Layout of the Independent Studio :
Entering the studio you will find an open plan area that contains a living room area with a HDTV, a fully equipped kitchen and a dining area. From the whole open plan area you will have the opportunity to enjoy spectacular sea views since there are big sliding glass doors that also lead to the outdoor area.
Next to the living room there is a bedroom with direct views to the sea. The bedroom consists of a double bed, a big closet, a hydromassage cabin and an en-suite bathroom with shower and a washing machine. This bedroom is very special and unique as it has big sliding glass doors offering you the chance to enjoy the splendid sea views every single moment!
Outdoor area
The exterior area of Villa Kokkinos offers an array of amenities designed to enhance your stay and cater to your every need, ensuring a memorable and enjoyable experience. Heres a detailed breakdown of the facilities:
- Dive into our spacious 32m2 swimming pool, which can be heated for your entire stay upon advance request (additional daily charge applies). The pool terrace is equipped with comfortable sun beds, umbrellas, and an outdoor shower for your convenience.
- Unwind and relax in our four-seater hot tub, offering the perfect way to rejuvenate after a day of exploration.
- Families with young guests will appreciate the dedicated lawn-covered play area surrounding the pool, complete with an outdoor playground. Additionally, theres a basketball hoop, trampoline, and four bicycles to keep everyone entertained.
- The bigger kids can stay active and entertained in our recreation room, featuring a treadmill, stationary bike, ping pong table, and dart board.
- Savor delicious meals prepared on-site with the villas two barbecue areas. The balcony of the main building hosts a charcoal barbecue next to the kitchen, while the veranda of the independent studio, sheltered by a pergola, offers both a charcoal barbecue and a wood oven, complete with a dining table.
- The villa boasts a fully fenced yard adorned with vibrant flower gardens, creating a picturesque and tranquil setting.
- Shaded parking space for up to three cars within the villa premises.

The villa is in a beautiful setting overlooking the sea and the accommodation is lovely. The hosts were welcoming and brought us food and drinks for the first couple of days. We were very happy with everything. Our only complaint was that we paid quite a bit of money to have the pool heated for our entire stay, but it was freezing cold on the last morning. We’d recommend staying here and we’d definitely consider going back there for another holiday.

Thanks for an overall amazing stay. Villa is large and accommodating, the food on the evening of our arrival was a nice touch and much appreciated. Spilies beach is a 10min drive and much better than the local one which has no amenities. No real negatives worth mentioning.

The villa was prefect and very spacious. We had a 3 year old and a 5 year old and there was lots of toys to keep them entertained.
Parking was tight, as it is in most of Crete. We had a 9 passenger van due to the amount of people and getting in and out was difficult.
In the evening right over the pool horizon was the most beautiful sunset!

Our trip was very well organised by Kostas from etouri. We, four adults and four kids, were picked up from Heraklion by minivan and had our rental car brought to the villa. The villa itself actually consists of two houses (which also means two kitchens and two BBQs). It has a lot to offer for kids of all ages (pool, table tennis, basketball, trampoline, etc.). The owner lives nearby and although he speaks hardly any English always should great hospitality. As others have stated, a car is helpful but all essentials are within walking distance. Besides, there are bicycles at the villa, free to use.
