This place did not disappoint! It was a beautiful and tranquil space that provided a much needed respite for both of us. I highly recommend to anyone who wants to relax and recharge!

There were just a few small things that should be improved. First, the flies were flying all over the place in the cabin. Second, we needed more towels, but there were enough for a couple of days; however, we were staying for five days. Third, (which is hard to control) the road getting there getting there and going back and forth from Ashland was very dangerous because it didn’t have a lot of railings and there were tremendous drop offs. Even so, the stay in the cabin was very nice and solitary. The owners let us feed carrots to the donkeys. That was really nice!

Let’s start with the good stuff. It’s flat out beautiful. It was clean on arrival and the host left the lights on for us which was nice. You can’t beat the views coming or going. It’s pretty spectacular. There are also lots of coffee to pick from in the cabinets. There are also leftover bathroom needs like tooth brushes in case you forgot. Also host was VERY nice and offered us solar glasses to watch the eclipse! Now to the bad stuff. One, it should be very clearly posted that the road going to the cabin is NO JOKE and only very experienced drivers should attempt it. After you leave Ashland it’s a great ten mile ride until you hit the S turns on a mountain side that is straight down, with no guard rail and absolutely no room for error. If you make the slightest mistake you will die. (My boyfriend says I’m exaggerating, but I disagree, as I’m the one who drove it every day for 7 days.) mind you it’s only 7 miles of 66 that is like this, as we drove from the cabin to Crater Lake through Klamath Falls and all was fine. Two, when the host tells you they will turn the heat you expect that to be higher than 62°, especially when it’s 49° outside. Seems like common sense, but when you come inside to find notes on the heater that read “if you want warmer burn wood” you immediately get annoyed. Again, something you should know up front. Also if you are requiring wood for warmth, maybe the host should provide more than split logs and ONE Diet Coke box. There is so much more
