The Casale 'Casa sotto la torre' is located in the shadow of the medieval Clock Tower, still working.
Immersed in the green chestnut groves that surround the entire country.
The farmhouse is divided into four large houses: 'Casa Cielo' 'Casa Terra' 'Casa Pietra' and 'Casa Il Nido'
Exposed completely to the south, they offer from their windows, a panorama that has no equal, where, further down, set among tall firs, is the ancient Pieve of the village.

Entering Casa Pietra we find the kitchen-living room. Originally it was very small, but with the demolition of a stone wall it was possible to expand it, taking advantage of the introductory bow in its entirety.
The windowsills are made with ancient steps of cipollino marble recovered in old markets.
In the corridor, spurs of rock emerge from the floor. The partitions are minimized, so much so that a curtain separates a room from the corridor.
In the old woodshed an exclusive wellness area of Casa Pietra has been created, where we find a very modern whirlpool bath and an infrared sauna.

This property is lovely, up in the forest, and perfect if you want to stay and relax for your own private spa retreat. Here you can truly get away from it all--including your electronics, since internet connection was spotty at best! We chose this property as a jumping-off point for exploring the Apuan Alps, and for that, it was not ideal, because the road to and from the property in both directions is very narrow and winding. Even so, it is very beautiful, and only 20 minutes or so to the larger town of Bagni di Lucca. We were not able to take advantage of the sauna and spa, because the rules say they can only be used before 10pm, and we were too late returning from our adventures to do that. Be sure to have a light source if you arrive at night, because the access to the house is dark and has sloping steps. There are also a couple of steps to get to the bedrooms and the bathroom, so be prepared for that. It is a beautiful property, with a forest view and great for staying in with privacy and relaxation.

We arrived Nov 10th and the check in was wonderfully communicated, we used the Whatsapp messenger and the property owners were super thorough on everything! (Thank you Lisa and Luca)....Once we walked in the door it was literally like the two dimensional pics from the listing burst into three dimensions...Everything was exactly as it was advertised. The home was immaculately clean, the views....oh the views were something of dreams, and everything you needed was there, coffee maker, pots/pans, dishes and glasses, everything you could need was right there....This was our "home-Base" for the first 5 of 10 Days in Italy and the bar was set very high for the second home after staying here :).....My wife even reached out to the property owner to have a bottle of Prosecco chilled and on the table to celebrate our arrival and our wedding anniversary that day....Such a lovely home, and home owners....The home is situated so you are removed from the city feel, yet close enough to visit Florence (1.5hr), Pisa (1hr), Lucca (1.25hr), and many little towns in between....We absolutely loved staying here and recommend this property to anyone looking to be centrally located in Northern Tuscany, while also being immersed in the beauty of the mountains...Thank you again Lisa and Luca!!

Boveglio is a beautiful village and Casa Pietra is a beautiful home. Luca and Lisa were very attentive without being intrusive. They were perfect hosts. I highly recommend Casa Pietra if you want to melt your stress away.

The accommodations where larger than we expected. The hot tub sauna room were also large, private, and relaxing. The beautiful flowers and herbs all around the property drifted into the villa with every breeze. The was a beautiful terrace (I wish we could have grilled out but ran out of time). Communication with the host was quick (we needed extra pillows and they were brought almost immediately). We would definitely stay again!
