Very clean and cosy. Third time staying here. Very comfortable. Great location, easy access to Windermere, Ambleside, Grasmere and Keswick. Ideal base for short break and Christmas shopping in the Lakes.

The host was very accommodating and helped immediately with whatever we needed. The house was super clean, well organised, cozy and comfortable. It had all kitchen facilities one could need, extra supplies, clear instructions on using wifi/heating etc, and had a beautiful entrance exterior. The only thing I did not like was the huge spider web outside the main house door and windows so it got me a bit conscious at night.

We only stayed for a couple of nights and the property was close to the lake and clean. Communication before our stay was good.
The lodge was clean but well worn in places, and a few bits and bobs were broken. The beds were comfortable and it was handy to have fans available as it was hot in the lodge. Lots of kitchen utensils if you needed them, but remember to bring tea/coffee.
We found the fee of over £50 to go swimming very expensive, as we really only wanted to use the pool once over the weekend, and there wasn’t an option to pay for a single swim. We didn’t find the staff in the leisure club very helpful.
All in all we had a pleasant stay.
