About this apartment rental
The bright apartment is 100 square meters and has three separate bedrooms with two double and two single beds. In the modern, large kitchen, every person with a flair for cooking feels comfortable. The living-dining room adjoins the open kitchen and offers a lot of amenities (TV, music system, library). (From 2019 we will have air conditioning in each bedroom). Each room also has a ceiling fan.
On the sheltered balcony (18 sqm) with beautiful views of the sea and the offshore islands you can enjoy the setting sun and the balmy evening air until late in the evening.
The apartment is located on the first floor of the house Beba. 'Beba' the house with the name of its former, unforgettable owner, is located in the mild, green, southern bay Karbuni, away from tourists and everyday life. It is 50 meters above the sea. Its 4 modern apartments in Swiss standard are bright and lovingly furnished.
The sea, with its rocky, crystal clear sea, is the perfect setting for fishing, diving and snorkelling. The beautiful bathing place with awnings, shady moorings and boat mooring pleases our guests again and again!
The island is ideal for mountain biking, hiking, enjoying nature and exploring the unique flora and fauna.
In 45 minutes you can reach the picturesque capital Korcula. Countless picturesque villages in untouched bays reflect Dalmatian culture and hospitality. In addition, in the larger towns such as Blato and Vela Luka are great restaurants, cafes to linger, markets, shops and rental options for vehicles of all kinds. For a day trip, head to the world-famous Unesco city of Dubrovnik or the ancient Roman city of Split.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: The Dalmatian coast is one of the most beautiful and unspoiled coastlines in the Mediterranean. It boasts clear, clean water and a depth that makes swimming, diving, snorkeling, surfing and sailing a pleasure. The fish from this water tastes particularly aromatic and tender. It is sold in the market or served in the idyllic local restaurants for delicious local wine and vegetables.
If you prefer not to come by car, you can rent a car at Split or Dubrovnik Airport or directly on the island of Korcula. The holidays in our bay will be unforgettable for you! And another thing: for 8 years next to the house 'Beba' our second house 'Sasa', which you also find on a holiday home and on our personal website.
TRAVEL: A well-developed highway leads from Rijeka or Zagreb over Split towards Dubrovnik to Ploce. So you are in a few hours from the north of Croatia in the port of Split or near the peninsula Peljesac. In summer it is beneficial to drive during the night to avoid traffic jams. It does not matter if it's a bit more comfortable or with public transport: The Jadrolinija boat company offers ferry rides and catamaran cruises.
By plane you can reach Split (or perhaps Dubrovnik) daily from various European cities. The transfer by shuttle bus from the airport to the port and thus to the crossings to the island is well developed and cheap.
If you wish a personal transfer from the airport to the port, which is cheaper than the taxis, please let us know!

Our stay in Karbuni was wonderful. The location is perfect, quiet but near to restaurants and somewhere to buy bread and pastries. The apartment had a wide balcony, with a stunning view of the cool crisp water. A few steps led us down to the 'beach', which is beautifully paved, a mix of shade and sun, with comfortable loungers and steps to get in and out of the water. There is good snorkelling, we saw plenty of fish and an octopus - we also spotted dolphins - and there is boat and kayak hire nearby. After dark the view of the stars from the beach is stunning. Steffi and Marina were the perfect hosts, extremely generous and welcoming. They were happy to share their local knowledge, to help with restaurant bookings and to ensure that we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay - it was a pleasure to meet them. The apartment had everything that we needed, comfortable beds, a well appointed kitchen and a fantastic built in barbeque just outside. Thank you for a truly lovely week :)

Marina und Steffi haben ein kleines Paradies für sich gefunden, welches sie gern mit uns Urlaubern teilen. Es ist ein Fleck voller Ruhe und Entspannung, glasklaren Meer, wunderschönen Sonnenuntergängen und vieles mehr, um den Alltag komplett zu vergessen.
Die Betreuung ist allumfassend und sie sind immer bemüht, dass es uns Gut geht. Wir haben eine super schöne Zeit dort gehabt und viel Kraft und neue Energie tanken können.
Die Unterkunft ist spitze, der sehr kurze Weg zum Wasser machen es ideal für die schnelle Abkühlung, der Strandplatz bietet genug Platz für jeden zum ruhen.
Wir würden gern sofort wieder kommen wollen.

Mocht je nog zoeken naar een kleinschalige locatie pal aan de mooie Adriatische zee dan is dit dé plek. Het dorp is niet meer dan 50-100 huizen. Wij hadden voor onze hele verblijf boodschappen gedaan na aankomst in Vela Luka en hoefden dus niet meer met de auto. Vers brood kun je halen bij een klein winkeltje op 10 minuten lopen!
Het appartement is van alle gemakken voorzien en met prachtig uitzicht op zee.
Tot slot. De eigenaressen Steffi en Marina zijn zeer gastvrij doch niet opdringerig. Ze leggen goed uit hoe je er moet komen. Wij kregen bij ontvangst een heerlijk aperatief. Je kunt gebruik maken van verse kruiden uit de tuin. Als je zou willen ben je welkom om aan te schuiven bij de borrel met ook de gezellige buren.
Kortom als je rust zoekt en prachtig water - en de tijd hebt voor de mooie, maar best wel lange reis - is dit een aanrader.

Wir wurden bereits bei unserer Ankunft von unseren Gastgeberinnen Steffi und Marina herzlich in Empfang genommen. Die Wohnung ist sehr idyllisch und ruhig gelegen und lässt bezüglich Infrastruktur und Sauberkeit keine Wünsche offen. Der hauseigene Badeplatz ist direkt über eine Treppe erreichbar und lädt zum Relaxen ein. Toll war auch, dass wir mit den Kajaks die Bucht erkunden konnten. Die beiden Gastgeberinnen sind einfach Klasse und waren stets um unser Wohlbefinden bemüht.
Liebe Steffi, liebe Marina wir haben den Aufenthalt bei euch sehr genossen. Herzlichen Dank!
