Helianthos 1 is one of three independent and beautifully designed properties within the Helianthos Villas complex. Each villa features elegant decor, a charming wrap-around terrace and access to a spacious shared swimming pool.
Tucked away in the tranquil, traditional village of Douliana, this lovingly preserved hamlet invites exploration with its hidden corners and peaceful atmosphere. Located in the heart of the Apokoronas Valley and framed by the majestic White Mountains, it’s one of the most picturesque areas in all of Crete.
The villa comfortably accommodates up to five guests and offers generous balconies with unobstructed views of the valley, along with a sunny terrace perfect for relaxing. The ground floor includes a cozy living and dining area with a fireplace, a sofa bed, a fully equipped open-plan kitchen, and a small WC — all adorned with traditional furnishings that add a touch of rustic charm.
A set of wooden stairs leads to the upper level, where you'll find a serene double bedroom and a mezzanine with two single beds, accessible via removable wooden stairs. A spacious bathroom with a bathtub and a large veranda with stunning views of the White Mountains complete the upper floor.
Guests also enjoy access to a large shared swimming pool with sunbeds , a lush garden, and several fully furnished shaded areas perfect for unwinding outdoors.
The vibrant village of Vamos is just 2 km away, while Douliana itself offers a cozy square with a local café, a mini-market, and a charming taverna — all within a village of only 40 houses. Within a 10 km radius, you can explore some of the area’s most beautiful beaches, including Almirida, Kalives, Kiani Akti, and Ombrogialos.
Convenient local amenities are close at hand: a mini-market just 10 meters away, a bakery 300 meters away, and several traditional taverns and cafés within a 400-meter stroll.

This was the second time we visited Helianthos Villas and we really enjoy the comfort, shared pool (which became a private pool), scenery and the tranquility.
The host was very supportive and allowed us a late check-out.
We strongly recommend to visit this place

Wir 4 (mit Kinder 9, 6) haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Pool kann man tagsüber und auch nachts schwimmen, war für uns das Highlight! Die Küche ist so super ausgestattet wie zuhause! Die Kinder lieben das Dachboden (Kinder nennen es Super-Versteck-Kammer), wollen unbedingt oben schlafen und spielen. Also für Kinder die gut und sicher klettern können. Im Wohnzimmer gibt auch Schlafmöglichkeiten (sie hat uns angeboten), wenn man nicht im Kammer schlafen möchten. Christina unterstützt uns bei Fragen sehr freundlich und warmherzig.
