First off, the staff were fantastic, and very welcoming. No complaints at all for service and professionalism. Location was also a plus, being right next to Central Station. However, our room was way too small, and the TV and room phone did not work. Also, there appeared to be no Central overhead light for the main chamber, unless that was also broken. Only reading lights by the bed, and led backlights behind the TV, besides the light for the bathroom. I cannot recommend based on the room we stayed in, but maybe with another tier or two upgrade, the experience would be better.

Whilst the staff are very friendly and helpful, I wouldn't stay here again due to the noise levels. You can hear everything in the room, including running water from the shower in the room above mine. My stay was marred by an ignorant guest in the room above mine, who thought it was OK to create a noise nuisance. This was reported twice. I was surprised to find that there is no kettle or tea or coffee in the room. I think this is very poor, as every hotel I have stayed in has this facility and I am a frequent traveller who clocks-up many stays. The positives are that my room was very clean and the bed was wonderful. The comfiest bed I have ever slept in in guest accommodation. The staff are lovely but don't seem sufficiently trained in customer relations. When I asked if I could move rooms due to the noise-making idiot in the room above, my request was declined due to "there being no other rooms available." When I returned to my room I checked online and there were other rooms available, bookable on several websites. So - Yotel lets itself down compared to its many competitors on some basic issues. What a shame, as providing tea and coffee making equipment in each room ought to be a given, the staff should take complaints more seriously, and poor insulation between rooms and floors results in a Noisefest which is very annoying when you need to relax or sleep.
