A little far out of town which wouldn't be so bad if it was next to a bus stop, but even that's a 10-15 minute walk away. I had an awful experience with no sleep thanks to the worst snorer I've ever heard but not the hostel's fault. Generally clean, comfy beds with good quality sheets, pretty location, friendly staff.

For the price you pay you cannot go wrong. It's set in beautiful grounds, the staff are helpful and friendly, there's on site parking as well as a bar and a games area. Yes, some things are basic and some paths and other bits could do with upgrading, but all of our group would stay here again when we come back to Chester.

It was not so much the snoring it was the frequent visits to the toilet. Myself included. There was alsosomeone's hourly chime and text message alert on some geezer's mobile during sleepytime.
