Our room was spacious and had a good bathroom.
The grounds were very nice and we enjoyed an evening walk around the lake.

Nice location on University of Essex grounds. Room was in the modern garden wing, there are older style rooms in the main house. Room was on the smaller size but smart and modern with nice toiletries and super thick fluffy towels. Tv was decent size. Breakfast was in the Brasserie and was decent, good fast service. Some buffet items and some items made to order. Quality was good, but the buffet could do with having a few more items available but it was reasonable. Staff were all friendly.
