Near to high speed railway station. Good for a fast stay over

Location is great if you want easy access to the HSR (just walk from the basement). Hotel is pretty old. Room has no fridge, no safe, no coffee. Has basic amenities. It is good enough as we spent the whole day out.

Staff - two of them who served me were severely xenophobic and lacked the sincerity to treat all guests equally. I was told by a female staff that I would be getting a room without window. This was despite the description in Agoda stating "street view". I told her that was an issue for the hotel to deal directly with Agoda, not me. It was with much reluctance that I was eventually given a room with a pathetically small window. On the second morning, I was queuing to check out and leave my luggage at the hotel, to collected in the evening. A local jumped the line to check in despite my protest, to which they smiled but did not budge. I voiced out my displeasure to the male reception staff. Though he paused the check in procedure for the local, I was ordered in a loud and harsh tone to drag my luggage to the other end of the counter, much to my embarrassment in front of other guests, as though I asked for it. The staff did not even lift up the counter board to pull in my luggage to the storage area. In the evening, another female staff assisted me to retrieve the luggage and the board was lifted up to faciliated the process. Room - not very well maintained. Paint peeling off the walls / ceilings and reeked of an odour. The heater made the room terribly warm and uncomfortable at 32°C. Not advisable for non-local to stay here if they are going to maintain this type of service standard. This is the treatment given to an Asian who can converse comfortably in Mandarin. I can't imagine the frustration I would feel if I am a non-Mandarin speaker encountering the same issue. Very disappointing experience knowing the size of this hotel group.
