Cannot recommend a better hotel in Rotterdam than Van der Valk especially if you’re travelling by car. Location was good due to easy access to the motorway and I was travelling between cities during my stay. The staff were great and even let us check out late. The hospitality was amazing and the rooms as well. Stayed in the luxurious suite, it came with many amenities and also a children’s skincare pack (first time I’ve seen this) which my daughter loved. Will definitely be staying there again. Thank you

This hotel is convenient for visiting Ridderkerk vicinity
But there is nothing much here and it not near Rotterdam city centre

The location is a little far from the city, we were unlucky to be here when a football game was being played, which made us unable to get any taxis out to the nearby supermarket when it was raining. There weren't even many quality places to eat nearby which makes it even more inconvenient for us,
For a hotel that costs nearly 200 a night where you don't even get bottles of water left in the room and the service on the front desk is slow I would never return to this place, I'd rather spend the same cost for a more centrally based hotel
