My fiance and I stayed here for around 4 nights in July and it was the highlight of our European accommodations. Nestled in a little village of 120 people, each face is friendly, the food of the local taverna(same owners) is delicious and with local kitties galore.
A nearby walk to the nearby 'caves' explore a bit of history was well worth it, even if not clearly marked.
The stone apartments are impeccable works of art in itself and each apartment seems to have its own private outdoor area. Theres a kitchenette with a fridge, sink, basic kitchen utensils..
You must also have a look at the local corner bazaar shop where the owner, if not busy with customers will happily guide you on a free tour of the now retired olive oil mill his family used to work in. We also bought a number of beautiful things from his shop, including a beautiful Cashmere scarf.
Definitely a bit of an oasis.

Great escape to the real Cretan life and culture. Not for those seeking luxury… fabulous for anyone looking for an authentic taste of old style, rustic living.
