Hotel is perfect and staff is lovely. Only issue. It was a little warm in the room and an alarm woke us up quite early due to a guest smoking in his room. Apart from that fabulous!

The room was clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Everything was great until someone tried to break into our room with a key in the middle of the night. It was nearly 11pm. We were sleeping but were woken up by the sound of keys jingling and the sound of our door being unlocked, so I immediately told my partner to go push against the door. There was no chain or latch on the door. If he hadn't been pushing against the door, it would have been opened. My partner shouted "who is this?", but no one answered. Instead, the person outside tried to open our door again with his key. My partner shouted "stop!". Finally the person outside said he was the security guard and told us to open the door. Of course we refused. I called someone at the reception and asked for someone to come to our room for assistance, but instead, they just kept asking for my last name. No one came and the person outside just kept asking us to open the door. We were so scared. I called the reception again and finally someone came. The staff showed her staff card through the small window so I could verify that she was a legit staff. I opened the door to talk to her and she said that there was a mistake in arranging the room and another group of guests were supposed to be in our room. They said it was their mistake and apologised for trying to open our door. I was really angry because the security guard should have knocked instead of trying to open our door with his key. He was essentially breaking in without our permission. He would have violated our privacy had my partner not push against the door. We were sleeping and were properly dressed. They mishandled the situation completely and we felt that we were not treated with respect. The staff and the security guard was obviously not trained on how to handle these situations properly. No one came to help us while the security guard tried to break in. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
