On arrival the man was welcoming, he was thoughough.. went through everything we needed to know, was really welcoming, showed us how to access the front door, dropped us off some essentials, upgraded us, felt really special. The boutique hotel caters for afternoon tea and other special events, it's a listed building, one of the oldest in Colchester, is a coach 🏠and used to be a solicitors, the little touches in the room made everything even more special, chocolates, a little light with shelf in the shower with toiletries, swan flannel, a folder Inc helpful info the area
The reason why it was marked down slightly was because on arrival I wasn't able to check in straight away.. the owner did go through everything thoughly, I just had to get in and out before it got dark.. I wasn't able to wind down the little curtain with the horizontal window, wasnt sure if anyone could see in, the rooms are so close together worried about privacy and would of liked to of been offered rake out breakfast had to run for work.
