Recently I have stayed at the Mill on three occasions at the weekend. The first time there was no hot water all weekend only very cold water in the bathroom. On the second occasion when I wanted to watch the winter Olympics, there was no BBC channel available at all in my room. I mentioned it at reception and this was not repaired.. There were also various minor issues in the bathroom. On the third occasion I stayed there they were no channels at all that I could watch on the television. They were all pixelated as in the photographs for all of my stay, even though I mentioned it to the receptionist, it was not corrected. Also, there was no hairdryer which I had to send down for, and they kindly brought one up. Surely the staff should check these things are all functioning, especially after guests have complained about these things.

Arrived to checkin. Told wouldn't be available until after 4pm despite the booking confirmation stating 2.30. we had to rearrange our plans and ended up booking to have dinner in the hotel. Despite there only being 6 tables, 4 couples and 2 solo diners, it took them over an hour to serve dinner. No apology or updates from the staff member who was serving. Spent lots of time wandering up and down and spraying tables, but not actually talking to people, checking if we needed any water etc or pursuing our very late dinner. Breakfast was also a shambles. One poor lsdy was running the whole show and was having to run on and out the kitchen with egg orders, chase every single item that ran out. Bacon. Sausages. Beans. Bread coffee. Hot water, both juices. Yoghurt in the half hour we were there. Not to mention booking people in. Taking money and clearing the tables. Noone came to help her out. When we came to check out. The gentleman who had ignored us in the restaurant the night before so no opportunity to raise it with staff. We were in room 504 which is a long walk including stairs and ever-dimming corridors from bar and dining area. Corridor smells of old smoking area.

This was a lovely place to stay and was most satisfied especially the breakfast. There is only one fault no lift this I find very odd in this day and age .

Stayed for one night whilst visiting relatives. Parking fine but no lift and we we were on the 3rd floor and I have moblity problems I will know in future to request ground floor. The room was ok comfy bed but shower not brilliant and tv very small and couldn't get main channels. The hotel is in a lovely location nice bar area and breakfast very good buffet style.
