    We booked to be close to Sherwood Forest. Room was lovely and clean, breakfast options good and hot breakfast lovely (especially the scrambled eggs - I usually find them undercooked for me but they were perfect!!). Staff were exceptional, thankyou and we will return x

    We stayed on night for the nearby horse trials. The price was very good and close to our required location. Good value for money. The staff were friendly and the evening pub meal was good. The room was lacking a curtain - see picture in our hope to block out the light (apparently there were a few rooms with the same problem) The buffet breakfast was about £11 from memory but assume that you would have to go before 9 am (they serve until 10 am) to get a nice hot fresh breakfast, as not so good at 9 am Having said all that, we will return next time as it was cheap, nearby and overall a pleasant experience. (Armed with a blindfold naturally!) They had a good well-stocked bar, but they don't do cask beer. However, luckily, about 75 yards away is the Old Red Lion who do, (so able to have a few beers before dinner)

    Whilst we only stayed for one night we were very impressed with the great food and lovely staff. The hotel met all our needs and we would definitely use again if we had to return to the area.
