The knighton hotel is very conveniently situated in the town with is on small carpark. The hotel was very clean. A very helpful member of staff. A great place to stay If your traveling around midd wales. If you want facilities then not the hotel do not have any, however there are places in knighton to eat, Caffe, pubs and an excellent Indian restaurant.
No ATM only cash back in the co op

We stayed here as it was conveniently located for a wedding we were attending. We’re not fussy people when it comes to hotels, so booked to stay despite the poor reviews we read online. Considering we paid over £*** a night we figured it couldn’t be that bad compared to the cheap hotels we usually choose.
Unfortunately we felt compelled to write a review to warn people away from staying here.
On arrival, the parking situation was unclear, so I popped to the reception desk to ask. Unfortunately both members of staff were unable to provide any useful guidance on parking, other than the tiny patch of concrete by the back door next to a skip and scaffolding only had space for three cars, and it was suggested that we could block somebody in. The main car park next to the hotel is pay and display which we would have happily paid for but it’s a maximum of a 2 hour stay during daytime hours. We ended up parking on a side street as we were lucky to find a spot. The main pay and display car park remained almost completely empty during our entire stay.
The room itself was very spacious, albeit very outdated (the carpet is a bold choice). The bed was two singles put together but the mattresses sat at different heights. The bathroom was a bit claustrophobic due to its small size and lack of windows.
Speaking of windows, there may as well have not been any at all in the room, because there was no soundproofing at all from outdoors. Woken up mega early both mornings due to the noise outside. At one point it felt like the bin lorry was at the end of our bed.
We returned to our room at one point during the day to find our room unlocked with another key set in the door, but nobody around, with our valuables in the room. We locked the door and took the key down to reception and was told that it was open for a maintenance team to fix something in the bathroom - this hadn’t been communicated to us at check in or during our stay at any point.
There’s no food on site which we knew before booking. There’s a couple of shops opposite the hotel which stocked some basic stuff.
Whilst at the wedding, we got chatting to some other guests who were also staying at the hotel and they all had nothing positive to say. Our taxi driver even asked why we’d booked to stay there as it’s known for being awful!
So in a nutshell, don’t stay here. If you’re attending a wedding locally you’d have a more comfortable stay in the back of your car and you’d save yourself £*** a night.
