I really hate to leave a bad review of this place. The property is in a quiet location, fairly well maintained and tidy, all of the public areas are inviting, and the rooms are spacious. But it also feels like nothing has been done to maintain the rooms in years, and housekeeping may or may not own a vacuum. For the price it was impossible to beat in this area, but if you've got more than a quick overnight stay you might want to splurge on something a little cleaner.
The first room we were given had a strong pet odor. There was no issue switching to a new room, which smelled fine except for the bathroom which smelled like bleach. Combined with the bubbling paint and poor shower design, I suspect a mold problem was being covered up. I took the single most miserable shower of my life here. The showerheads were so absolutely caked with scale that water was shooting 10 different directions and there was almost no pressure at all.
The carpet in the second room was filthy. There is no reason that a hotel that charges a $50/night pet fee can't run a carpet cleaner and deodorize the rooms every so often.
Relatively minor complaint, but there is zero soundproofing between rooms or floors. You can hear full conversations from the room next door, and every step above you. Do yourself a favor and request an upstairs end room if you do stay here.
