Good size room, spacious bathroom with great flowing hot water for showers. Bed and pillows were really comfortable. A full breakfast was available for only 8 pounds. If we wanted anything extra all we need do was to ask.

Came with friends, hotel centrally located right near harbour area. Bar has been modernised since was last here and we preferred how it was previously, in keeping with traditional style of building and whitby itself but that’s down to personal taste. We Had a double en-suite room which was small but very clean. Breakfast was a buffet and very good with fried or scrambled eggs, beans, mushrooms, bacon, sausage, tomatoes, toast, cereal, fruit, coffee and fruit juice. Paid £70 which was perfect for a night away. Would definitely stay again

I requested a twin bed room but booking.com, which messed up the last reservation I made with them, struck again and changed that to a small double. The receptionist said he couldn't change the reservation either. The room was right on the main road and very noisy and,if we closed the window, horribly stuffy. We were so cross that we cut short our stay and came home a day early - if you can't sleep at night it's not worth staying! Would not recommend.
