I only write reviews when I belief guests are mislead by hows things are marketed.
Let’s start with the positives: the hotel has a fantastic location, close to the city center and within walking distance of everything. The bed was comfortable, and I especially liked the bathroom layout.
However, where this hotel falls short is in its claim of being a 4-star property.
I have never heard a reception say “no” so often to guests as here. Late checkout? No. Paid late checkout? Yes. Can I book it? No. Another guest asked about vegan breakfast options, and the staff had no real answer, leaving her feeling uncomfortable for even asking. I ask for a toothbrush, and they are not sure if they have it.. told me to wait upstairs and if they find it, they will bring it. But what if they don’t find it ( which they didn’t)
Cleanliness was also disappointing: the coffee cups in the room had hairs in them, and the toilet still showed stains from the previous guest (nice and yellow)
Overall, this hotel feels more like a stylish 2-star than a true 4-star. By comparison, I’ve stayed in 3-star hotels in the same city, that deliver service and standards closer to a 5-star than what this property currently offers.
Sometimes the attitude of the workers can make the biggest difference in where you stay.
