Upon entering the room there was a strong almost off putting smell of disinfectant that cause my partner and I to become nauseous. Despite the abuse of cleaning products it seems the window seals remained untouched for ages because there was mold all around our window seal. The Chinese boy let up some guest that I was not expecting up to my room causing a scare for my family and I because it was not in out planner to meet anyone at such hours of the night. We woke up to loud knocking and when we let the time pass to check the door due to the scare we saw the clerk opening the supply closet to grab some tools. When I asked who showed up at our door he said he "He had told my relatives which room I was in". This poses a real security breach for us when they can just let anyone up without calling our room or coming up to verify with us first. Our family in the city doesn't even have the same name as us. By far the worst possible experience of my life in a hotel.

The hotel is basic but clean, its right on the beach with a big variety of restaurants on the same stretch. We had a problem with the shower and were immediately given a different room. Where you enter the hotel, i felt a bit uneasy, there is parking and men showing you where spaces are to get cash from you. We parked round the corner instead. These men live in a squat at the end of the block. They didn't give us or anyone we saw any trouble but it makes you feel like its a bad area.

This hotel was subpar at best. Good location in Playita El Cabanyal. Several restaurants and cafes to choose from and close to metro.l, but the hotel itself leaves a lot to be desired. The beds are uncomfortable and you can barely walk past the bed without hitting the tv on the wall. They could benefit more by reorganizing the space to make it more comfortable. There were many bugs flying and crawling about in the room. Although it is on the beach, the room had no view. You wouldn’t know you’re at the beach. The pictures are deceiving. When I asked to be moved they said the hotel was full. I had jet lag so I stayed back for the 1st nt and there was no one at the hotel, maybe a handful of guests in the morning. You can hear everyone in the hallway. And the cooler/heater is excessively loud. The room is a lil above a hostel, at least you have your own bathroom and don’t share a room. That’s about all the positive I have to say about it.
