Very beautiful little hotel by Shelter Island. Lots of fun things to do around. Close to major attractions in town. Nice rooms. Super friendly staff. We had very nice stay and we will be back.

The hotel would have been rated 4 stars except for the bed and pillows. The bed sagged like it was as old as the hotel. Pillows were horrible. Both rooms had these issues so am assuming most rooms did.

This is my second time of staying with this hotel and enjoyed everything. A very minor issue this time was that ants were found in the bathroom and coffee table. The issue should not be difficult to resolve.

Low cost is attractive, however is not offset by NO WORKING FIRE/SMOKE detector in room or in walkway outside room. When noticed, I asked desk staff who responded "they've been working on them for weeks". Many barking dogs all hours day and night made for not restful room night experience.
