    Last minute overnight at the coast to finish out spring break weekend.. not cheap but could not have asked for a better night stay... great food, staff, lots to do and we're very accommodating for our dog and kiddo. For sure head back.

    I've loved staying at Salishan for years--the rooms are isolated, the views can be spectacular, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I love just coming here when I'm feeling burned out at work; I can just relax, have a nice meal, and watch the waves from my balcony. A few caveats: First, it's one of the more expensive places to stay in this area, and if you're not a golfer, you can probably find some pretty nice places nearby for less. Second, some of the buildings definitely are showing their age, and may not have reliable (or even available) WiFi. That was the case on my first night; since I had my laptop and needed to work the next day the staff very kindly found me a marvelous 3rd floor room with a breathtaking bay view (and great WiFi). 3 nights at Salishan, and I was completely rejuvenated.
