Great town, great place to stay. Historic hotel with great facilities. Highly recommended. Look for the amazing Roman floor in the foyer.

A great trip down memory lane, and what better than staying at Purbeck House Hotel. A big shout out to John, Stefan and family, thank you for your hospitality. We look forward to catching up hopefully in the not too distant future!!.

Much enjoyed staying in this grand house. Large rooms with pleasant aspects, either over the town & sea or over the lovely garden. Our room, 16, had dual aspect (as does 18). Very quiet evening & night but just 4mins walk into town for restaurants/bars; 8mins to the superb beach with soft sand and very clean sea. One can walk upwards & be on the south coast path in 10mins with great cliff /seascape views. On site parking is a great asset & the common rooms in the main building very beautiful & spacious.
Now my fourth stay at this pleasant destination, will be back next year .

Staff very helpful and friendly. Room lovely and clean with everything we needed. Would definitely recommend and we would happily stay there again.
