This hotel was recommended to us by a friend. It was a lovely hotel with friendly staff and OK breakfast, and was in a great location most of all. The only hiccup was that we arrived there early morning and expected to be able to put our bags in their storage space until check-in (we were going to go to Pompeii for the morning), and the receptionist said their colleague would come and collect the bags. I wanted to see where they were going to store the bags, but be just motioned to his colleague who took the bags, and we pointed to another bag of my partner's that we wanted them to take. Somehow, there was a miscommunication because the receptionist said that his colleague would get it, but clearly, the colleague didn't see it, and when we came back after a very hot and tiring tour in Pompeii, we wanted to just check-in, get our bags, and go to our room immediately. But they apparently couldn't find the bag (which had my partner's laptop and important things). They had no idea what happened to it, and there was about 5-10 minutes of super stress, and we almost had to call the police to report a stolen item, when finally the colleague went upstairs and brought it down, as he put it in a different place with someone else's checked baggage instead of where our other bags were. We have no idea why this happened, and though we were upset and it caused us undue stress, we just accepted it and forgave them. The last morning, they were kind enough to let us stay an extra hour since our train wasn't until later in the afternoon, so all was forgiven. Tip for travelers: Get some kind of tag from the hotel ensuring that they have your bag and make sure that you see exactly where they put your bag and take a photo of it as proof that they have it. We trusted them too much that it would be taken care of, and well, everyone is human. Other than that, we loved the hotel - the view we got wasn't great, but it's OK; we were mostly out and had to work when we were in the hotel room anyway.
