For us, this place never feels to disappoint. We are frequent visitors and enjoy the venue and all that it brings. A great front of house team, who cannot do enough...thoroughly recommend a stay at The Old Bell. Great food and a very relaxed atmosphere. Just what we needed in terms of a work getaway. We will be back soon.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night getaway in the Old Bell hotel. The staff were all very friendly and always looking to help. The room itself was on the 1st floor and had a wonderful view out to the abbey grounds. The bed was absolutely massive and very comfortable. The only downside of our stay was how warm it was in the bedroom despite having the radiator switched off. This was because we were getting residual heat from the hot water pipes. I expect we'd have appreciated it a lot if it were a bit colder, but we're in that awkward part of the year where it's starting to turn colder but some days are still quite warm.

Stayed one night and the restaurant service in the evening was appalling. Server knew nothing about the menu and couldn’t answer basic questions. We ordered cocktails at the same time as ordering food and the food came out before the cocktails…. Inbelieably poor
