Clean, friendly and helpful staff. Very nice, comfortable room. Location was good for our purposes (we parked the car and mainly travelled on foot locally or by train into the city centre. My family have used this hotel on several occasions for family events, although this was our first time. Would gladly recommend.

Staff are helpful and Nice. Provides room cleaning services every day. The only problem is there is no lift service so hard to carry heavy luggage to reach the top using the stairs.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights.. On arrival we were greeted by a friendly staff member who let us check into our room early which was quite spacious and clean. We had dinner in their small dining room the first night and enjoyed our meal which was reasonably priced. All good so far. Second night my wife and I went out for an early dinner to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. We arrived back at our room shortly before 8:00 to enjoy a quiet evening before an early flight home the next morning. A few minutes after 8:00 we were assaulted with the most unbelievably loud music coming from below. The chairs we were sitting in were literally vibrating the bass was so loud. We waited a bit thinking it would stop but after 45 minutes it was still going on. My wife went downstairs to complain and was told the meeting room below us has been rented out for a birthday party and there was nothing they could do because they paid to be there and there hotel website states the hotel holds events. She was told the party would end at 11:30. We couldn't hold a conversation, watch TV or even read a book due to the noise. We finally left and sat in our rental car to get some peace. At 11:30 the music was still pounding and when I complained I was told by the desk clerk that she was mistaken and the event would end at midnight! She was completely unconcerned that this was a hotel where people expect to be able to sleep and refused to stop the music. She again pointed out the hotel website states hold events. I have never experienced anything like this at a hotel. It was completely outrageous. These people are criminals. They took my money for a hotel room and made it completely uninhabitable and refused our request for a refund. The only way this abysmal hotel experience could beat would be with bed bugs.
