We haven’t stayed at a hostel before, but we were in a jam for a last minute room near the pier. Thankfully we were very comfortable in our room. Very clean and plenty of surfaces for backpacks, toiletries etc. Bed was fine. Typical Thai extra firm. Very excited to have a top sheet! We have not had that in our two months in Thailand. It’s nice to be able to use that for a cover at night so that the aircon doesn’t have to be turned down so low. I’m not sure why all of the hotels only have heavy duvets. Bathroom was a wet one. Very clean, but window was permanently open, so rather toasty because we kept door shut to be easier on aircon.
Docking one star for value because all hotels have raised their rates a crazy amount in the last few years. And one star for staff because she told everyone to come back at 1:30pm and then all rooms were miraculously ready at the same time. She also accused me of taking her pen, even though I showed her which one I returned to her desk. Trust me, I have no need to take someone’s pen!

I’d highly recommend this hostel in Koh Tao. Especially if you’re diving in Koh Tao, as the location is great to get to Mae Head Pier. Very private beds in their own compartment and very good facilities.

We had a private room which we really liked. It was spacious with aircon, fan and sea views. There were snorkels which were free to use.
Did need a bit of upkeep/maintenance and staff were rude. Also on quite a busy road.
