Now for context I've stayed in at least 20 hotels last year+each and everyone has been good or great but this one really disappointed. Insially the smell of chlorine as you enter the expansive reception area was not very welcoming a very pungent. Rooms nice enough,spacious and actually clean.
Biggest issue was the breakfast....now ok we were down at 9.40 (breakfast served till 10am) but having asked for scrambled egg and being told it wasn't available(???)yet each of us were given a fried egg? Surely the chef could scramble said eggs;is this not what culinary school is for??? There were only 4 other people in the whole breakfast room not like they were run of their feet? The rest of the fry was so over cooked and leathery it was embarrassing.I appreciate it's the end of the breakfast serving but really?? Heard good things about the McWilliam and was really looking forward to my stay but I'd defo not eat there again.
