Very lovely hotel and apartment size but in a terrible neighborhood which was a bit of a turn-off. There is a coal-powered electric station with massive stacks about half a kilometer away. However it is accessible by 5 minute bus from the train central station.
The real shock came in entering through the alleyway and into the front door and experiencing loud DUF music and then seeing a laundromat and a gym where the open sitting area was. Crazy and off-putting. The room was actually excellent but they had the air conditioning turned off for the season which meant that we could not control the temperature and airflow in our room. For air flow we had to open windows which allowed some noises and cigarette odours to come in. On Friday night there was a party elsewhere in the area and no doubt out front but we noticed only the noise coming from away from the property. Still it was substantial noise until four o'clock in the morning 4am. The girls that reception were lovely and as helpful as they could be.
