    Was quite taken aback on arrival at the complete absence of humans. “Self-checkin” was challenging because a great deal of information was required, with instructions only in German. Doubt I would have succeeded in obtaining a room access card without the help of another guest who said he stayed often so knew the quirks. Like when one enters one’s room you have to rotate something to turn electricity on.
