Spectacular stay in a location convenient to great beaches and rainforest hikes.

We stayed in the Seacrest house the week of New Years. While the location is beautiful (and one of the very few places open in that part of the park during winter), the hotel is definitely charging a premium for that that isn’t justified by the facilities. We were paying more than $***a night for what is otherwise a very average hotel room.
First, we were awoken in the middle of our first night by a family of mice trying to climb into our grocery bag. Mind you, we didn’t leave food out, only had prepackaged snacks in a bag sitting on top of the table. Nevertheless, for the rest of our stay we had to leave items in the fridge, microwave or car to avoid loud night visitors (we could still hear them scurrying in the walls/ceiling).
Further, the beach access at the property is completely wiped out. Not the end of the world in the winter months, but I’d check before staying there.
It’s a beautiful facility and the staff are nice enough, but in winter you are basically restricted to the very expensive in house restaurant or driving 30-60 minutes away for any other restaurants.
