Rooms are simple and dated but the bed is comfortable, the view and location is great. Loved staying here and hope to return with my bike as there is a paved path along the ocean

Front was so kind and at 24hrs. It was really hard to find out how to switch between tap water and shower water. I went to front and got an answer. Also fridge didn’t work. There isn’t wifi in our room, we were so tired that we didn’t ask this. Besides that, good place next to bus stop, coffee machine and microwave.

Inn at Rockaway is in a great location with shops and restaurants a few steps away. My oceanfront room meant I could hear the ocean especially with the window open. One day, I spent about an hour watching whales breaching! The hotel is a bit worn, but for location and value is great. Not only is it at the ocean, (with Nick's restaurant between the Inn and the beach) but just 20-30 minutes from SFO or San Francisco. The staff handled an issue that came up quite well, though it took a few calls/visits to the front desk. I felt very safe here as a solo woman traveler.

We have been to this hotel 2 times before. This time the room had hair on the the shower walls, fan in the bathroom was filthy with no cover. The heat/ac didn't work. There was no coffee maker in our room. The staff was nice but did nothing other than refund a $10 parking fee.
I have recommended this hotel before and always looked forward to our stay. But I will not recommend them again. I'm truly saddened that we will not be returning.
