We stayed at ICEHOTEL and it was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, though it comes with a very premium price tag.
The hotel is very pricey, and guests staying in the Ice Room are only allowed to enter after 6pm, once the exhibition closes to day visitors. Before that, we could only stay at the lobby area, which has limited seating and is shared with visitors touring the ice rooms. It felt slightly inconvenient, especially considering the high room rate.
Another downside was that there was no hot water provided in the lobby area for guests, which would have been very much appreciated given the freezing weather conditions.
On a positive note, the shower facilities were spacious and comfortable, with good temperature control — something very important after sleeping in a room maintained at around -5°C.
Unfortunately, we did not manage to see the Aurora during our stay.
The ice art sculptures are impressive and unique. The craftsmanship is beautiful, and the hotel staff regularly clear and smooth the ice along the walkways, making it more even and easier (and safer) to walk on.
Overall, it is a memorable experience to sleep in a room at -5°C surrounded by ice art. While it is expensive and has some logistical inconveniences, it is definitely something worth experiencing at least once in a lifetime.

A great place to stay and visit while being in Kiruna. They were a little unprepared to handle the hot weather conditions for their warm rooms but otherwise, a good investment for having a memorable stay in Kiruna.

We stayed in a warm room and were extremely disappointed in the room we stayed in. The beds were very uncomfortable and crickety. Every time I kneeled on the bed to lay down, it felt like my knee would go right through it!
The room was not cleaned well whatsoever. Smudges all over the walls from previous guests. Bathroom, especially the shower, had dirt all over the walls from previous guests.
The icehotel light in the headboard above the bed did not work/was broken.
It's convenient to be on the icehotel property and a short walk to the Sami village (about 15-19 mins walking) - but honestly would've rather stayed somewhere that offered more with the room, more comfortable bed, cleaner room and just shuttled to both spots instead! The room we stayed in did not look like the photos shown online for the warm rooms. Extremely disappointed and feel ripped off.
