In the whole area downstairs the plugs seem to be manipulated so it is not possible to charge your phone and your computer. Maybe there was a defect or maybe they don't want people to sit too much time in the table area. I charged there my mobile for about 15 minutes until I noticed that it didn't work. After having it plugged in the screen freezed and didn't work anymore. The plugs in the kitchen do work, so I tried there and I could charge it, but my screen remained freezed. So then after a day or so it worked again, but since then I have problems to charge my phone and it just doesn't charge constantly anymore. Chatgpt says it could be due to an unstable plug. So I find it unresponsible of them to either have manipulated the plugs or not to fix them. So don't charge your phone downstairs! Otherwise you probably didn't just have to pay for the hostel but also for the repair costs of your phone.

The hostel is located in the vocinity of the train station, which was perfect. The bed was comfy, checkin easy, everything clean.

The hostel is not bad. Its very close to Basel SBB. But if you are booking through agoda, make sure the picture corresponds to the room you are booking. I had booked a capsule room but when i reached the hostel, that said its a female dormatory in a 6-bed room. I had to stay in night in the shared dotmatory. The next day, the hostel staff assigned me a capsule room. The capsule room was good, on 2 female in the room.
