It’s 20 mins walk to station and bus wait time could be up to 15 mins. But it’s close to nice hiking

We booked the Julen suite, which is at the top floor, just under the roof, we believed it was the attic before they renovated into a hotel room. There’s a balcony with the view of Matterhorn which is superb! There’s a double bed, and two single beds with one of the single bed tucked in another side of the bathroom, which our kids called it secret room, the kids loved the secret room so much. Beware of low ceilings though cos it’s under the roof and we adults hit our head few times. Another downside is the elevator only could reach the level under our room, so the last part of the journey to our room would be by stairs, but with the view we get from our balcony, worth it. Location of the hotel is very far from the train station, it’s very near to the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise gondola station anyway. During our stay, it was raining and there was flood everywhere so the e-buses was suspended, or else we could have make use of the e-bus for our travel instead of walking. Breakfast is small but lovely. The front desk staff was super lovely. We arrived much earlier than the check in time, it was raining heavily and we were just waiting at the lobby area, he offered my husband with coffee and the kids croissants. Because of the flood situations in Zermatt, he kept us updated with the information on the traffic situations as well.

We stayed for 3 nights. Michael was very helpful and guided us with transport routes and recommendations for touring. He was kind to check the detailed weather and guided us. The room we stayed in had the most incredible unobstructed view of the Matterhorn All in all… great food, amazing location and excellent people!
