Great hotel in a great location in Genoa. Staff was wonderful and friendly and the propery is well appointed and lovely. The hotel's restaurant, Bar Gilda, has THE BEST FOOD and was the best meal we had during our 10 day trip of Italy.

A heritage palazzo with many period features and frescoed ceilings, but the rooms were modern and well-equipped. The bed was very comfortable and the room warm but not excessively so. Everything seems to have been very carefully thought through, especially in the bathroom. The location is quiet and central, hidden in a small square with a beautiful basilica, a very nice caffe and trattoria round the corner. There are some historic rooms and a sumptuous lounge with coffee machine. Reception staff were charming and helpful - checked me in early as I wanted to leave my bag while touring Genova and the opera, by the time I arrived properly 8 hours later, my bag was already in my room. I wish I had stayed longer. A real discovery.
