Perhaps like booking a cruise on the Marie Celeste,
The Merian is no exception.
Check in required the help of a remote 'receptionist' on the 'phone.
The room was clean and adequate,
Room 103 has a balcony and a view of Basel that is scenic & interesting.
The croissant fairy obviously stole in during the night and left baskets of fresh-baked fare.
The butter & jam fairy seemingly does not visit in the night!
It was ok. Switzerland is not inexpensive.
Would we return?
Only for the view and the cleanliness.
