Fantastic hotel right in the middle of town. We found the staff to be professional, friendly and always helpful. The breakfast has beat previous 5 star hotels we have stayed . Room was extremely comfortable,clean with a fantastic bathroom,which came with a view. Really made our visit to Fussen extra enjoyable. Highly recommended.

1) Their price is not transparent. When we booked, it's stated that fees and taxes are included. Hotel insisted on charging 9 euro per night for city tourist tax even though we clarified with Agoda.com that our payment made included all applicable tax. Before fussen, we were staying in Berlin, Munich etc and all the hotels didn't ask us to pay any additional tax and the booking fee stated all fees and taxes included. We told them we've clarified with Agoda but they just brushed us off that they didn't sign any contract with Agoda.com. We asked for a receipt as Agoda customer svc says they can assist to help us get a refund. The hotel issued us a receipt in German stating *** euro. We asked why*** euro and they mentioned that's unit price and we can take the picture on the wall specifying the charge (ie *** euro per adult/N 1.5/ per child/N). We paid *** euro for 3N.
2) 1 of the bedsheet has light red stain (looks like blood) but we just flip it over.
3) No lift. Need to carry 2 large luggages weighing 20kg each up to level 3. This one can't blame them cos it's an old building and they can't install lift. However, I did request for lower floor room where possible during booking. Plus I reached quite early. when I saw the room is on level 3 I asked if they can change for us they just brushed us off that all the rooms have been issued out although I was there very early (before 11am. we went for lunch etc and get our room later the day.). Hence, if you've heavy luggages, young children or elders, you may want to consider other hotels otherwise will be super taxing to climb up and down everyday.
4) Most of the hotel staff we met during our stay is not friendly and doesn't make us feel welcome except for 1 young chap which we met on 1st day. The lady at the reception is particularly unapproachable and snobbish. Maybe becos We are Asian, somehow we felt discriminated against.They're quite friendly to other guests who are non Asians.
In summary, will not book this hotel again if I visit fussen and will advise all our friends to avoid. There are many other hotels that are nearer to the bus stops and offer more value
