Hotel Kyriad PARIS 13 - Italie Gobelins

Friendly staff, fast checkin and good location

I recently stayed at the Hotel Kyriad Paris 13 and wanted to share my experience. I chose this hotel primarily because I have read that it is part of a brand owned by the large and reputable Jin Jiang International group. I expected a certain standard of accommodation from such a major hospitality organisation, but unfortunately my stay did not meet those expectations. On a positive note, the hotel staff was friendly and professional, and daily housekeeping was provided, with our bed made and amenities replenished every day. However, the major issues began with the room itself. We booked a standard room, but it was nothing like the pictures online. It was incredibly small, more like an attic, where there was barely enough space on either side of the bed for one person to stand. The bed and mattress were in poor condition. One side of the mattress was significantly sunken, and we almost fell off the bed several times during the night. The toilet was also extremely cramped, to the point where I couldn't fully stretch my arms up while inside. The walls were not soundproof at all; I could clearly hear conversations from the next room, even over the sound of the shower. Basic amenities like shampoo, body wash, toilet paper, towels, and a hair dryer were provided, and coffee, tea, and snacks were replenished daily. However, the kettle in our room was dirty and sandy inside. The room was missing standard items like a vanity kit and shower cap. We requested room slippers, which most hotels provide for hygiene purposes, but we were told the hotel does not offer them to all guests. While a TV was available, all channels were in French. As the hotel caters to many international guests, it would be beneficial to have English language channels available. For the price paid and what was promised online, the value was not there. I would recommend that any tourist planning to stay for more than one or two days look for alternative, better accommodation in Paris.

The room is really great and very clean, also the staff here is very helpful and so kind to help us with printing our boarding passes. The location is also very great that we can easily get into everywhere by metro with the metro station within a 5-min-walk. An excellent place and definitely a next-visit-choice!
