    We were a group of six, none of us are remotely fussy eaters, yet the food was genuinely inedible. We gave dinner two chances, but after two attempts that was enough — it was so poor that we ended up paying for dinner elsewhere every other night, despite already having paid for half board. Breakfast was equally disappointing and far below what should reasonably be expected. Very little was actually prepared by staff: guests were expected to cook their own eggs and pancakes, while staff simply put out basic items like cheese and ham. Even boiling eggs became frustrating, with a system that only held six eggs at a time, creating delays and making it impossible for a group to have a proper breakfast efficiently. Nothing felt organised, cooked, or ready — getting a full, hearty breakfast in any reasonable amount of time was unnecessarily difficult every morning. I also had an unnecessarily frustrating issue before the trip regarding my booking. I had my own room but had been charged half board for two people. Months before arrival, I repeatedly tried to resolve this and obtain the refund I was clearly owed for the second person’s half board. The process became exhausting: I was passed backwards and forwards between the hotel and Booking.com, with each side repeatedly shifting responsibility and avoiding dealing with it properly. It felt like nobody wanted to take ownership of the issue, and getting my money back became far more difficult than it should ever have been. Eventually it was refunded, but only after an unreasonable amount of time and effort. The staff were consistently unhelpful, disengaged, and often appeared irritated by even simple questions, as though guests were inconveniencing them. Service throughout felt lazy and indifferent. One particularly disappointing moment was being refused a beer because I was told the bar was closed. Moments later, my friend asked the exact same question in French and was served without issue. That inconsistency left a very poor impression and, understandably, raised concerns about how we were being treated. The only reason I would consider staying here again is the excellent location right next to the slope, which is genuinely convenient. However, that would only be at a significantly discounted rate, because I would never choose to eat here again or pay full price for the food experience provided. Other than that, we still had a great holiday — helped largely by the fact we found some very good (and expensive) restaurants elsewhere.
