It is defniitely the most traditional hotel I have ever stayed with a genuine feel of old style personalised service like the ones I have only seen in films. It might not be a luxury hotel, but it deserves extra stars for the quality of its staff and for its location. I found the building very inspiring like something from a murder mystery. Our room and bathroom was very comfortable, spacious, and plent of storage and facilities (kettle, coffee, tea, biscuits, soaps, towels and extra blankets). The views were fantastic both from our room and the hotel's restaurant. The parking is really limited (6-7 spaces) and it is rather hard to find it with GPS or SatNav. (WARNING: Google maps wrongly show the location as being on the lower part of the seafront), The approach to the hotel is just a narrow street through the usually crowded pedestrian zone of the town. We found some cheap parking 10 minutes walk from the hotel. Eventully, from the moment we arrived in Cromer until we were in our room it took 1 hour. We reallly enjoyed the traditional breakfast and the set menu of our dinner as part of the accommodation package. It is highly recommended, but with a caveat about its location (so central, yet hard to reach).
