Holland Inn and Suites

I was traveling from southern to Northern California with a friend and we booked a night at this hotel. We payed less than *** dollars and we were surprise by the size of the room. We got two separate rooms with queen size bed in each room. Very comfortable and clean, Staff was very pleasant and polite. Excellent stay overall!

It was a really nice stay, the ocean isnt to far, its a really fair price for what u get. The bed is very comfortable and they made sure we had everything that we needed

Dear Agoda Customer Support Team, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding my recent stay at Holland inn booked through your platform. I have been a long-time user of Agoda for many years, though I had not used it recently. This stay marked my return to the platform, and I am deeply disappointed that it turned out to be such a negative experience. Please give full consideration to the facts I am about to present, all of which are truthful. Upon arrival and full payment, I discovered that the property had no internet access—a detail completely omitted from the listing description. I was later informed that this was due to ongoing renovations. As a foreign traveler, I rely on accommodations to provide Wi-Fi, as mobile data usage is costly. While I initially accepted this inconvenience, the situation quickly worsened. The next morning, before I had even gotten up, construction work began directly outside. The windows were sealed, and when I went out for a run, I noticed that exterior spray-painting was underway—directly onto the wall of my room. Wet paint splattered onto my Lululemon athletic wear, causing permanent damage to a set worth over $200 USD. Meanwhile, my boyfriend had to sit inside the car just to reply to work emails, because the paint fumes inside the room were unbearable. When I returned from my run around 10 a.m., I was told that the electricity would be shut off until 4 p.m., even though the official checkout time was 12 p.m. The front desk staff member, who was genuinely kind and tried his best to help, gave me a 30-minute window to shower with hot water before shutting off the power completely. After that, I had to use my phone’s flashlight to put on makeup in front of a dark, sealed mirror. To make matters even worse, we saw a rat run through our luggage and disappear into a hole near the air conditioning unit. I have used Agoda extensively in the past, but never—ever—have I experienced anything as chaotic, misleading, and frankly unlivable as this. The property’s description failed to disclose any of the renovation work, the lack of Wi-Fi, the health hazards (fumes), pest issues (rats), or the early disruption due to construction. For a remote property charging *** per night, this level of negligence is unacceptable.
