Started soo strong, easy to book. Lovely receptionist lady. Got to our floor and we got hit by a wall of BO. The “cleaners” stunk out the whole floor. Then we went to make coffee with the complimentary milk. It was off, very lumpy. Pulled the date sticker up to find the previous date sticker…
Room was clean, shower was nice.
Odd that all the beds back onto each other through walls. The next door people were annoyed at the noises from our room. 2 minutes worth max.

We had a wonderful stay at Hidden Lake Hotel & Apartments, which proved to be a great base for exploring Cambridge and the surrounding area. The rooms are clean and modern, the beds are extremely comfortable, and the staff were fantastic throughout our stay.
The in-room Zealong tea selection and capsule coffee machine were thoughtful touches that elevated the experience.
The spa does require advance booking, but this wasn’t a hassle at all; in fact, it meant we enjoyed a completely uninterrupted hour in the secluded upper-floor setting. With the ranch slider wide open, it felt peaceful and private.
The buffet breakfast is the only aspect I would hesitate to recommend. It was very affordable to add to our accommodation, and the quality reflected the price. Next time, we would likely spend a little extra to order à la carte or visit one of the many excellent local cafés nearby.
We heard great things about the restaurant, but unfortunately it was fully booked during our stay, so we didn’t get the chance to try it for dinner.
Lastly, the hotel is located slightly away from the main town centre and sits next to a busy retail area. While we experienced no issues with noise, our view overlooked a car park, which may not appeal to everyone.
Overall, a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. We would happily return.

Whilst the hotel is new, clean and white, it lacks something. There is no art on the walls, the rooms are very ordinary, nothing feels luxurious.
