Do not stay here. On arrival in Ipswich, the Hotel appears to be shut down. We thought we had been scammed. For Sale/To Let signs adorn the frontage although there is a surprising blue badge to show Wordsworth once lived here! We decided to go to the Easy Hotel next door to confirm it was shut, but found the tradesmans entrance where the image you see of the hotel is hidden round the back. We met a lad in t-shirt and paint covered jogging bottoms and found he was the receptionist. We had booked two rooms, he offered us one room if we preferred. We preferred two rooms and he accepted this. The first room was very smelly of damp and musty and visible black mold clear to see all around the bathroom, rotten window frames, no tv, no kettle, no pictures on the wall. The second room was not better. Broken bed, slug trails across the carpet, dead slug still in middle of carpet. I had to open the rotten sash windows a little just to be able to breathe more clearly which meant in the morning I was awoken by the flapping wings of a pigeon in my room. Highly memorable, but for all the wrong reasons. I will not be staying here again no matter how cheap it is. I think the council should be investigating and potentially shutting this pace down. Stay at the Easy hotel next door, it's only a few quid more, but at least you shouldn't feel dirty when getting out of the shower/bath...as this place has no soap provided either

Rooms stained , floor stained , filthy . Bathroom splinter risk , bath cracks , hairs everywhere , half used toiletries , door lock could be pushed open . Hall ways trip hazards , lift hidden away behind plants , people cooking in rooms when told not to fire risk , no tv as advertised or tea and coffee , headboard not attached to wall , plug sockets by your head when sleeping , homeless and troubled people accommodated . I thought would be bad but shocking , scary , filthy and unsafe . Never again

No toilet roll in bathroom no towels bathroom was filthy interior of hotel was is really bad wallpaper falling off dirty and not cleaned at all
