Saddens me that we were disappointed as we were really looking forward to stay at Fanham Hall.
On arrival we parked our car and went to retrieve our luggage from the boot to find my evening dress get caught in the hawthorns that were in the hedge and pull all the fabric, my husband can to help me and he caught his suit and pulled the arm, so not a good start to our stay, this should be addressed as others will fall foul to this.
Our room was extremely cosy to a point where you walked into the bed as you entered the room to find a very small double bed. My husband didn’t have a bedside table so had to put his water and glasses on the floor. The bed was so hard we had a restless night, the sheets were bobbled and our duvet cover was too big for the duvet. Even the pillows and duvet felt a poor quality. It was such a shame has it all looked so lovely and not the quality we thought it would be for this hotel.
We were looking forward to the late check out but sadly we were up and out by 9am about in the road to home. We couldn’t even have a cup of tea in the room due to no facilities.
The bathroom on the other hand was large and very clean and modern.
Lastly I can’t fault the bar staff especially when young guy who was extremely helpful to us all at the wedding we were attending
