Very poor communication. Poor customer care. Lack of attention to detail and poor value for money.
Prior contact was made to ascertain whether a walk in shower would be available in one of the three rooms booked. An assurance was made that this would be possible.
On check in it was stated that one of the rooms did indeed have a walk in shower available. This was incorrect with no walk in shower available on arrival at the room.
A promise was made by one staff member that the following day an upgrade to a suite would occur with the desired shower requirement being available. This did not materialise.
Previous occupants socks were located in one of the booked rooms.
Rooms were darkly lit, bathroom floors were slightly slippery.
Mini bar was suitably stocked. Location was great and had lots of suitable parking available.
Hotels outwith larger cities in Scotland need to seriously up their game.

Overall a good experience, nicely appointed rooms - large and spacious, although the deluxe category does not seem to have views. Bed and pillows comfy. nespresso coffee in the rooms and a large selection of teas . Staffing seems to be an issue …odd items missing/not replaced in each of our rooms …. Restaurant staff need to be better trained … not very attentive or polished… the star is the food … menu selection well thought out and nicely presented.. overall a good choice and would go back.
